Push it in as far as it will go at a ninety degree angle to the door. Bend your card towards the doorknob. While you slide the card in jiggle the handle so that it goes down a little as you keep putting pressure against the barrel with the card. Slide the card into the gap between the door and the jamb.

Insert the card between the door frame and the door near the handle. The screw should be screwed in deeply enough that it is short enough to allow you to close the door but tall enough to prevent a credit card from fitting into the gap between the door and the doorframe. Slide the card into the vertical crack between the door and frame. Depending on the type of lock or how the latch plate is set this might not work.

Pick a card that you don t mind losing in case it bends or is damaged in any other way.
